Chelsea FC’s nickname of ‘The Pensioners’ was dropped under the instructions of Ted Drake, a former star player who became Chelsea’s coach in the 50s. Drake felt that the ‘Pensioners’ tag was an embarassment, and there is even TV footage of him reading a statement to that effect. Chelsea FC were mostly known as ‘The Blues’ from then on.
Each print has our ‘walltonic’ brand subtly printed on the bottom right hand side of each design, giving the print its authenticity.

Designed and printed in England our paper has a low surface sheen and luxurious feel. It offers excellent ink to paper contrast, and printed colours appear bright and defined giving the prints a contemporary look and feel.
